Capstone project with gathering information on homelessness resources in morgantown
The videos above are from my Journalism Capstone. I did a story on how Morgantown is lacking in resources for the homeless. I interviewed around six people. I showcased the two below because they have the most experience with homelessness. Caitlin Sussman is in the video on the left. She has worked at the Friendship House for ten years helping the homeless. On the right, is Ross Jones. He was homeless for around ten years and now works at the Friendship House to help others the way the Friendship House helped him.
housing SERVICES APP
I created an idea for an app that helps people who need of services. The services would be shown according to your zip code. The type of services that are available are shelter, food, healthcare, and hotline numbers. I would love to fully create this application to help others and try and promote it on campus so students could use it for others that are in need. I worked on this during an entire semester.
